Comment:
Amblyomma triguttatum (ornate kangaroo tick) ventral view. This hard tick has long palps and hypostome, eyes and festoons present. This tick is common on kangaroos and is also frequently seen in small numbers on cattle, sheep, horses and dogs from Western Queensland. Measurements are vital for id of parasites. Ticks should be fixed and stored in 70 percent alcohol, cleaned with Decon 90 and examined with a stereo microscope.
